Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)

A Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) is an account funded by your employer that helps to pay for certain out-of-pocket medical expenses.

The 2021 employer contributions and reimbursable expenses are as follows:

  • Licensed Staff
    • Single: $2,100
    • Two-Person, Parent Child/ren, Family: $4,200
    • Medical & pharmacy deductible and coinsurance
    • Employer shall pay the fees for this account
  • Non-Licensed Staff
    • Single: $2,200
    • Two-Person, Parent Child/ren, Family: $4,400
    • Medical & pharmacy deductible and coinsurance
    • Employer shall pay the fees for this account

All the school plans above offer the following:

  • Employer covers first dollar expenses
  • The Employer will reimburse the provider directly for services (billed through BCBSVT)
  • Any member of the family enrolled in the HRA shall be permitted to use the total contribution
  • HRA balances will not exceed those shown above in a calendar year.
  • There will be a 30 day run out period after the Plan Year ends or upon termination of employment.

Your enrollment in the HRA will happen as a part of your health benefits enrollment process by electing HRA on your Health Benefits enrollment form.

You may monitor your HRA expenses by creating an account online.  You may also download the app from the Apple or Android App Store.
